Certain computer programs have already been approved for this process; these include SIS, SASI, and AERIES. SASI and AERIES are both available through private companies. SIS is available through the San Diego County Office of Education. For more information contact:

One of the advantages of computerizing California School Immunization Records (blue cards) is that a school will no longer have to keep a hard copy of the blue card in the student’s cumulative file unless:
- The students are exempted from one or more immunizations for medical or personal beliefs reasons (a signed blue card must then be kept on file) or
- The student transfers to a school that does not use the same computer program
