Healthcare professionals (HCP) are at risk for exposure to Pertussis and other vaccine preventable diseases and may transmit disease to patients. Hospital personnel as well as those in private physicians’ offices, nursing homes, emergency medical services, childcare centers, and schools are recommended to be vaccinated for Pertussis. The dramatic increase in Pertussis cases has increased the urgency to ensure personnel and patients are protected.
