The San Diego Regional Immunization Registry (SDIR) reports summary information to the State of California Department of Health Immunization Branch, which in turn, compiles data from the other regional registries and county-operated registries. Two important measures reported are:
- numbers of health care providers and other authorized entities that participate in the registry and
- the number of immunization records with two or more immunizations noted for children under six years of age in the registry
These two measures indicate the progress of the SDIR in reaching the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Healthy People
2020 goal, which is To increase to “95% the proportion of
children under 6 had two or more immunizations recorded in the
immunization information system.”
