Brief Me On HPV Contests
To promote the prevention of HPV in young women and also the HPV vaccine, the California Department of Public Health is sponsoring a campaign called "Brief Me On HPV". The campaign includes two contests directed at teens and preteens.
The first contest is to create an original slogan and artwork about preventing HPV, which is suitable for printing on men's or women's clothing (like t-shirts, shorts and tank-tops). The winning artwork and slogan will be used on an item of clothing like a t-shirt and the artist whose work is chosen will win $500.
The second contest challenges young people to "Refer A Friend" to enter the first contest. Each friend who enters the contest earns the referrer 1 point. The person with the highest point total wins $250.
Anyone 13 years of age or older can participate in the contests, but only California residents 18 years of age and older are eligible to win. Also, one person cannot win both contests.
The contests end September 1, 2010. Complete rules, how to enter, design resources, a video and other information are available at www.hpvbrief.org.
