Influenza Season 2014-15
 

INFLUENZA VACCINE CLINICS

In the U.S, flu season typically occurs between December and May of each year. Flu vaccine is recommended annually for everyone 6 months of age and older. Flu vaccine is available at Public Health Centers and other locations throughout the County.

It's not too late to get the flu vaccine! Flu season often peaks in January or February, but lasts through the spring.

Below is a list of some of the places influenza vaccine is available in San Diego County. Note that County Public Health Center flu clinics are closed weekends and holidays.

This list will be updated as additional information becomes available.

Please note that there are many other places around the County where flu vaccine is available. Those places include doctors' offices, clinics, retail pharmacies and other locations.



ONGOING FLU VACCINE CLINICS


Central Region Public Health Center

Flu vaccine is available on a walk-in basis, Mondays and Thursdays, from 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., also on the 2nd, 3rd 4th Wednesdays of every month, from 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Closed weekends and holidays. No appointment is needed, but if desired, appointments can be made online at:https://onlineappts.hhsa-sdcounty.org/.

Flu vaccine is available for persons 6 months and older. The nasal spray vaccine (FluMist) is available for healthy persons 2-49 years old. Tdap vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine are available if medically necessary. Please note that Tdap vaccine is not available at the Wednesday flu vaccine clinics.


East Region Public Health Center

Adults interested in walk-in clinics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (hours can vary) should call the Center at (760) 740-4000 to see if that can be arranged, depending on nurse availability.
